This is probably a dumb question, but when the hole in the Gear shaft is up towards the top, is that where neutral is located?

If this engine is upside down, wouldn't the journals be facing down when the engine is upright? Could it be that the engine is upright (I think it is?) but the video is reversed left to right? I guess what I really want to know is the hole in the Gear shaft supposed to be at the 6:30ish position as this shows, or at the 1300 position if the engine is indeed upside down?
