    Folks say you can't fix something like that all the time. Amazing how we who are willing to try can fix it. Often better than the traditional way.

    I like your fix. Chances are that will take care of it for good. If it doesn't. Loctite makes a hydraulic thread sealant that may be worth looking into.

    Well I think I'm going to keep my eyes open for a radiator. Amazon has one for $200.00 shipped from the USA. I am trying to find out for sure it has all mounting holes needed for the OEM shroud. Probably wouldn't be able to get one fixed for that much.
