I have an 05 R3 with Triumph floor boards with heel to toe shifter. I'm looking for the bushings that are at the top and bottom of the shift linkage that connects the top to the bottom. It appears the bushings are designed to keep the connection tight so it doesn't rattle and break prematurely. The washer/bushing seems to made of a soft rubber or neoprene or maybe treated leather. One of the 2 are split and rattles terribly and the other is worn. My local dealer has a know-it all youngster parts guy and is telling me you have to buy the whole shift linkage to get the bushings or did he say, you get "the shaft" when you buy the bushings...LOL. Anyone have a part number or a possible place to go for a replacement? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ylbill. I asked my dealer here in Perth when I was checking on tyre prices. He says the shifter has little ball joints top and bottom and you have to buy them, either one or both.
About $32 each here.
Maybe there is a home fix out there.

Find a decent bearing stockist and see what he has in the way of "Rod-ends". They'll last way longer.
That and bit of foam as a washer. The foam they sell in kiddies craft shops works well.

Thanks all for the input. I do custom laser engraving, maybe I'll take some scrap leather I use in projects and cut some leather donuts
to take up the slack.
