where's the easiest place to get a live feed and earth from the rockets electrical wiring loom front or rear of the bike ?

The battery, it's right in the middle.

There are accessory plugs for driving lights etc, but if you will be drawing a high current load i would use relays. The advantage of using the accessory plug is that the power will be shut off when the key is turned off. The manual (available in Bishops signature) will show the locations.

Will have a look Gothlander, i wanted to connect to a live feed that switches on and off with the ignition thats why i didnt want a direct feed to the battery, what about the head light wires would that work?

Unless you have headlight relays fitted I would use a different one because the headlight circuit is all ready working hard. What are you hooking up ?

I will be fitting a rear veiw camera ,how do people fit their sat navs it must be a similar set up?

I grab power from the parking lamp in the headlight. There is also a ground wire to the bulb socket. Plus, when you turn the key full CCW, it turns on. I would say it's good for one amp or so load. There is ample room to run the leads into the headlight bucket.
