Hi guys. still waiting for the fun machine, but doing my homework. does anyone know if you can lift the scooter on the oil pan without damage. I prefer to do my own servicing, so need to know.

Jusk asked the same question the other day :D Everybody said yes you can. So I'm now about to change my rear tyre (Waiting on getting the tyre delivered from USA grrrrr) and have all ready liftet the beast up...On the oil pan. :D

R3 lifting

thanks for the quick response. good to know. this tyre changing seems to be a bit of a bummer, by the sounds of things I'll leave it to the pro's.

Had my rear tire changed out at 4800 miles, had the dealer do it ( BackRoads ) They had a cradel that went around cat box and contacted the frame at two ears that had a hole in them , a steel pin was installed through the cradel into the hole. All in all a pretty trick setup. :D

If you lift it on the oil pan, it is rear heavy. You will need to tie down the front end to get the rear off the ground. If you have the catbox, and lift there, it will work.

thanks for the piccy looks good to me as i have the same type of jack. looking forward to further piccys. :) should be easy to make as well. just a bolt thru the holes or do you need to nut them as well. got the good news today that my scooter should be in the state next monday. and then just a day or two to fit extras and rego.
