Yes any and all get hot. The Carpenter and CES will give you more top end but the Viking will give you great low end pull and a bit more distance between your leg and the exhaust. Very much so a very friendly rider designed system.

Carpenter seems to have the lowest price on a 3-1 exhaust. It has a very low rumble, and allows for the most hp. Combined with the K&N RX4040 filters, and a good tune you will have a lot of power to tame.
 
Ever notice how it's the pipes for fast bikes that have springs? One day you'll get a motor with enough hp to need springs too.
