I bought some led turn signals for my Roadster, I know that I need to install a flasher relay, but I read a post about even with that (the relay) the bike might blow a fuse. Can anyone with a Roadster confirm or deny? Also, is the stock relay on the right side of the bike?
OK, that makes more sense. You can buy small inline diodes that you just spice in the + wire to the lights. They basically make the light draw more power so they act like the stock lights. Also without diodes either in line or built in the light assy are subject to back feeding. A diode acts like a check valve to stop the feedback.
Just try it and see, you won't hurt anything. If you notice that the left signal comes on slightly when you put the right signal on then it is back feeding. This happens when the same dash indicator light is used for both left and right signals.
