Nor do I really - but the R3 lights were bad enough to dissuade me even more.

I had to do some 100 mile plus runs on rural motorways early on. At 120kph it was scary how little usable light there was on the road (this with relays added in). I'd have had better lights if I'd used my 1979 Guzzi with a single 45Watt bulb. Right now they're as good as my wife's car (for some weird reason French cars have excellent lights).

I have a contact in Hella who says that a 35W sealed beam 5&3/4" light puts more light on the road than a Triumph light. I cant fault the statement.

Because I do not pull wheelies with my R3T, I opted on keeping the fog lights attached on my 2014. They, along with the stock single headlight work great for freeway flight at O'dark thirty in the mornings on my way to work. I haven't had the opportunity to travel via the country side yet at night with the bike, but I bet if I slow down to 70 or so they will be fine.

I always though that the one thing that needs to be done is getting better lights.... I hope to get the H.-D. LEDs from the States (they are 500€ a peice over here - > that translates to 1368USD...)

Just about any big Harley place in the US - Caution - VAT, duty and postage.

And the Harley ones have a ****ty warranty in the US compared to the legal minimum in the EU.

800 is a lot - but how much would you pay for a sporty exhaust/filter? - Without a shadow (pun intended) of a doubt - one of the best things I've added to the beast. If you ride in the dark - it's bordering on a MUST DO.

$720 is what I paid for two LED headlights from Harley. They fit perfectly, easy to install and are amazingly brilliant! They look cool as hell as well.
Lots of money for lots of light!

The JW Speaker 8630 is an alternative too from what I've read...

Any Trucklite's fit also or are they all too big for the two headlight configuration of the roadster?

Could we get away with just one of the headlights being replaced on the roadster, i.e. on the outside position of the bike nearest the oncoming traffic? Maybe get one first and then get another when some more pennies free up lol, they are ridiculously expensive considering what they are really...

I think Barbagris knows all there is to know about LEDs on the Rocket, hopefully he can confirm what options there are for us these days? There is a good thread on the other site about all this that he started which suggests the top two options...I don't think there's much price difference between them and I am not sure if the JWs are any better option wise or not...?
