Think i may have found some 62mm options, just not sure if they are to long,
150mm and no i don't want the bear claw back on the bike, just waiting for a price. As usual we pay twice as much as you lot in the U.S.

I'm not so sure, i've drawn two circles one on top of the other 57mm and 61mm and their don't seem to be much in it. K&N say you can go 2mm over the size they state sooooooooo??, trouble is if i order them and they don't fit £100...$200 down the drain :shock:

scotty----i got one of the rx-4040-1 filters and actually measured it. micrometer battery is out so this is close--eyeballin. --the rubber base is 62-63 mm inside diameter. --that fits over t.b. bore.------now t.b. outside diam. is not constant diam. cylinder at top edge. it has a little hook lip on it to help hold filter/etc. on.------ the 62 diam. works good. don't know how tough it would be to get 57mm. on (or off!)------ thickness of rubber down there is 5 mm. thick around entire circumference and slightly grooved on inside.---------------- s.s. clamp goes on top of the 5mm. and has a small lip to help hold it in place. -------------outside diam. at widest point is about 105 mm. ----height is about 147 mm. tall.--------------if you will send me your email address i'll take photos and send to ya. ----john -after a.m. tomorrow will be gone til 1st of next week tho. jlm205@aol.com

The only trouble with that filter John is its round, i dont want round ones, i want tapered oval or conicle'ish.

scotty----ya still gotta fit over tb bore regardless of how top is made. else you'll be makin lots of u-turns to retrieve after they've blown off !! k/n makes several types that still fit over 62 mm. base. like a woman---big-tall-fat-small.---they come in all sizes. ----john

Guy at K&N recons the 57mm will stretch to 59mm maybe 60mm, so thats that. So 62mm it is.
Just that their is a better range of the shape i want at 57mm.
