have just acquired a set of K-Drive bags for my Roadster, do they need to be treated before using. if so what it best to treat the exterrior with. The material looks like leather but I am not sure.

After some research on the net I found this bout K-Drive, which I guess means the bags dont need any treatment but I am not sure about the stitching.

Saddlebags are made from Iparex 1100 - a very strong synthetic leather.
It has a luxury leather look and is one of the best materials for saddlebags.
It is strong, waterproof and doesn't need any maintaining.

Dubbin on the stitching wouldn't hurt mate. Quite often it's the stitching thats the first to let go.

I had K-Drive on my Rocket. The Vartex is bullet proof. You don't have to do anything to it except wipe the dust off.

By the way, I thought K-Drive went out of business. Where did you get them?

A mate purchased them about a year ago and never used them, I borrowed them once and then purchased them of him. Here is a photo.
