Howdy All:
I recently received a Jensen JHD910 radio/antenna with mounting kit as a gift and would like to mount it on my R3T. I have trolled through the other posts with similar content, but have a few questions that haven't been answered.
First, have any of you ever installed this radio on your bike?
Since my service manual has yet to arrive, any suggestions on which wire to use as the live one? Or, which one to use as a ground?
Finally, this radio came with a whip antenna. I really don't want to permanently drill a hole anywhere, so if any of you have any ideas or experience with mounting an antenna, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks. I appreciate your help.

Jensen jhd910 install

Hello,
I too am on the search for any info on this radio. How is it going for you? If it is possible I want to mount mine on a handlebar mount with some sort of quick disconnect for both the power and some part of the mount - I don't always want this radio on my bike - I have a Bonneville T100. Do you happen to have any thoughts? Oh- I found a link to a January press release to a JHD910BT (blue tooth) but can't find the radio on their web site. Have you heard of or seen one?

Ok ill try my best.......
First look up eastern beaver and buy the PC8 with pre wire and connect it to your bike...this will give you 6 switched and 2 unswitched power connections to add accessories......now you can hook up the power and ground to this and it will turn on and off with the key.
Second, it doesnt matter what radio you hook up to the bike its all the same really...sort of like a car except you dont have oem to deal with.

Third, the antenna can be mounted on the same bracket that holds the hard bags. There should be a spot on the frame of the bags between the fender and bag that is exposed enough to mount...your whip shold have come with a bracket to mount to a post (or mirror holder like say on a big truck)

and lastly mounting the stereo will take some engineering as to what is best for you. I do not have a radio on my bike as my communicator has one but search this forum as I know some have installed radios...good luck! :D
