so from what i understand by reading alot of opinions and reviews, this 2 babies jardines & maddog are the loudest and nicest pipes for the rocket and i prefer louder...so anyone think otherwise...which one gives the lousest deepest sound.

is there anyone in southern california (LA area) with one of them installed on his bike? i would love to come and hear them in real time...would be much appreciated.

I've found a local dealer in Lomita that sell the jardines for $900.00, thats the cheapest i could find so far...anyone have a cheaper place and looking for the cheapest place for maddog.

LOOKING FOR THE MIENEST LOUDEST KICKASS MUFFLER AVAILABLE FOR THE ROCKET.

Looks like Jardines have recently raised their prices so that is a pretty good deal. I have Maddogs and have also heard Jardines on several occassions. Jars are probably more of what you are looking for. Maddogs have gone up substantially. Maddogs are just slip ons and use the same header and if you want more performance and louder you need the cat bypass. Jars are a complete system. Looks like if you buy Maddogs directly from Austrialia at aussiebiker.com you can take advantage of the value of the US dollar and get them for less than newr3.com.

I don't know if you have found this yet but there are several sound clips here of different systems http://www.r3owners.net/rocket-iii-resources/152-rocket-iii-multimedia-library.html

Very distinctive sound...

I just completed installing a set of Jars on my R3 yesterday. They sound completely different than the TORS that I was running. The sound was deeper meaning more "baritone" and the system definately "Smooths" the sound of the R3 at all RPM ranges.

One thing though...be prepared to richen up the fuel charts with TuneBoy when you change over to the Jars. Jars apparantly "draw" more air and will add a new dimension to the term "after fire" or "decel pop". I was already running the triple K&N's and noticed the lean out right away.

Jars look great and do not change the way you will ride your bike by locating the mufflers lower on the chassis thereby taking away or changing the way you would lean into a corner. I can still drag my pegs...;)

Good Luck with your choice...:D...SB.

thanks guys i'm starting to lean more toward the jars, i did saw the post will the sound clips but still the only way you can realy hear what they sound like is standing next to one...anyone in southern california with Jars...oh another thing, there is a clip on youtube presenting the "THE BISON"...anyone? and i saw on the on the other .com site someones talked about BRM pipes...anyone?

Thanks guys

Yes, deeper and a bit louder than the TOR's but definitely a muffled sound. Smooth is a good description.

I like my TOR's. Gnarly.
