Its just not been a good day, why does everything seem to happen at once.

Got a new battery for the bike, once it was filled and on the charger it started leaking around one of the terminals and took over a month to get a refund from the seller.

Thought I would get a more upmarket one so bought a motobatt battery as a replacement. It arrived dead as a dodo showing 11.2v so charged it and stuck it in the bike, doesnt even have enough power to crank the engine over more than once. Oh, and the knackered battery seems to have caused the odometer on the bike to read 111, 409 miles rather than the 19400 that is actually on the bike. Put the old battery back in, had a test ride, the odometer and trip counter wouldnt budge. After resetting the 2 trip meters both they and the odometer started counting up again but still reading over 111000 miles. Had a look at the date code on the battery, manufactured in 2015. Good one seller, what could possibly go wrong with leaving an AGM battery lying in a box for nearly 3 years without charging it.

Thought I would take the car out for a bit, oh brilliant its only running on 2 cylinders and requires a clutch, some welding, 2 tyres+whatever I need to find out is wrong with the engine electronics to get it running properly again. Considered burning it, thought nah I might be able to get something for it as a tradein. And its my birthday today too, and my brother forgot about it...AGAIN like he has for the past few years in a row.

Fecking stressful life. Rant over

I hope you have a happy birthday bro even though you have this crap happening to you..
Have you tried riding a few miles (50 miloe smaybe) to try and clear you odometer problem?
I haven't heard of a corruption of the odo. reading before due to battery failure, only fuel gauge problems.
Please keep us posted.
