In 1975 when Honda debut the 1000 cc Gold Wing, it was their intention for it to be a sport bike.

It was sporty, for a couch. If it wasn't for that early flat four, Honda would still be trying to make a touring bikes out of the CX and CB bikes. The Silver Wing was a great touring bike if you were as big as someone like Karen Carpenter. The Gold Wing has evolved very nicely over the years. The Valkyrie line is still my favorite for big Honda bikes. Being built in Ohio and just being super good looking and with big cams and carbs. The Hot Rod of the line. 99-2001 Interstates are my favorite big bike of all time so far. Lets see what the future of the Rocket will unfold.

I told the Triumph rep we would like to see 4 versions of the new Rocket. A Standard bike, Light Touring package, Full dress Cross Continent "Gold Wing" style bike with trailer hitch and accompanying Triumph matching trailer, and then a full blown I mean BLOWN Hooligan bike with 200 plus HP. He said we might see some of those ideas come out as real bikes.

That would be awesome to see the full tourer and the Hooligan bikes.

Yeah I think 3 bikes would do it. A standard and then add light tour options and the full tour and the hooligan would do it. I would probably go for a Hooligan myself.

Both for me. Just think, we can buy both and they would still be cheaper than a CVO Tour Glide.

I disagree. Depreciation is never a moot point. Would you rather have your home appreciate or depreciate? Taking advantage of depreciation makes great financial sense. I would rather buy a used 2016 Silverado for $30K when it cost $45K new, or a used or leftover 2016 R3T for $10K with a warranty when the bike sold for $18K new. Unless you are sh!tting one hundred dollar bills all day it makes good sense to manage your budget.
