You guy's have WAY to much time on your hands to worry about such stuff
Geez my left sidewall is blacker than my right sidewall is that normal :?

Jeepster, this sounds serious! I think you may have a final drive issue or possibly your brakes are mounted on the wrong side.

Sidewall ??? Wot's all this sidewall thing?

This is a Rocket 3 forum, if i wanted to talk about houses I'd watch the the Discovery channel. :p

..mine looks like this with about 8500 miles on the odo will..

That looks like mine, only mine weren't quite as dark when I swapped my stock manifold for Preds at ~6500 miles.

Coloring of the metal is not an exact indicator of cylinder temp. The #1 cylinder should in theory be the coolest so the least color change since it gets the most airflow and has only 1 adjacent cylinder to keep it warm. But I bet that isn't always the case.

But I think it is a hint as to what the fuel/air mixture is for each cylinder.

In your line of thinking above (theory of course) my No3 is the coolest, with the No1 being the hottest.

I want them all to burn fuel/air mixtures at the same rate. Definitely don't want rich, and do not want too lean.

I want perfect.

We'll see what the Triumph tech can do this Friday when I take it in for it's 500 mile service.

Kindest regards,
