Electronic Control Unit.
Brain box
Many here including myself have altered the "tune" on our motors for better performance.
This is done through the ECU and is a major improvement IMHO.
I heard the ECU on new bikes was locked preventing installation of alternate tunes.

I am not smart enough about this bike to ask those kinda questions.

around $20k+ for that deal here in Oz so allowing for exchange rate you are about $5k better off over there
