Try a solo megaphone off the header . . . bet that'll do you, if you stay with stock header.
The sound of my CES is BEST to my ears.
This here crappy video sound is much quieter than in person,

I have the D&D's and they are loud, basically straight pipe. The only way to get louder is by shortening the pipes. I would like to find a single 4" pipe that you could either run straight or baffled. I like the look of 1 larger pipe.
Unsure if you guys are speaking of a can mounted onto the stock header or custom tuned headers?
The CES 3 - 1 header only can be purchased and you can add a can of your own choosing.
I have run the stock 3 - 1 straight open without any muffler and was surprised at how quiet it was. I have two megaphones that I tried and they were WAY TOO loud - even for me! Louder than my open pipe 125 inch V-Twin!
If you want loud, I guarantee a tuned header (or the stock one) with open can or megaphone will be more than enough for you!
On the Roadster you can easily remove the mufflers (w/ cats) and the empty collector and then add the can of your choice.
I had TORS and they were moderately louder than stock, not enough for me.
Had a set of 2.5" made and they drown out any Harley I ever heard....
Of course, they're on a set of Jardine headers and they're separate, individual pipes,
and totally open, so that 2.5 inch just reverberates an sounds totally awesome...
At least to me...
Let us know what ya do and post pics if you go custom...
Good luck.
