Last year i was going to book the bike for it's mot at a local triumph dealer, after he heard the exhaust he said that they were too loud and would fail under new rules..Although he did know of somewhere and that they were not so strict and told me to take the bike there...it passed no problem

I doubt the TORS on my R3T would fail the rego inspection but (as new light vehicle and motor cycles in NSW don't require inspections for the first 4 years)I haven't had to have it inspected ,but a set of slip in baffles are easy to make and easier than changing the silencers each year , I have made a few sets for my earlier bikes and some for my mates as well ,just a short piece of pipe of the suitable OD ,you can reduce the piece if too big by running a disc cutter down the side and squeezing it in with a vice and tacking it with a welder then weld a welsh plug onto the inside end and drill a few small holes along the edge of the pipe make sure it is a tap in fit ,do the inspection and pull it out till next year
Here is our version it is on my touring but the crossover will bolt on to a Roadster form 2008-2015 and will keep the dual exhaust look. Will work with OEM, TORS and D&D.
