I'm fed up now!

Now that is funny! When I fix the problem, I'll get my wife to do the same to me, that might just be the ultimate fix, lol. For all of us.

That's great, how did you paste that thing in. Your real name must be luke or something.

So, on a serious note, lol, just got back after a long day and she fired right up at the first squeeze of the holy trigger. Didn't even hesitate.

Now, don't know about you guys, but that's unusual for me, because it shouldn't be starting. Please help me the f%$# out, asap! How do I get it to unstart again, I was enjoying this thread so much, LMFAO.

Much appreciated in advance, any advice much greatly accepted.:D

That looks like some crazy ****. Definately prefer the beach dude.
I wonder if he could do that with a Carpenter works RIII, ho ho ho

I've ridden all of Carpenter Racing's variants, including their drag bike, and I can honestly say that it would tear that bobsled run apart!!!

Rocky, I am glad you got to the bottom of this issue. I haven't made any comment n this (or any post) since Friday cos ve been surf fishing till today.

Rocky I am glad you figured it out. I believe you found the problem. When you tested the voltage drop across the switch I believe you stated a difference of 400 millivolt (.4 volts). This indicates to high of a resistance. The resistance of the switch should not cause such a voltage drop. The voltage should be at the same potential. The loose screw makes sense to me. In my line of work I do a lot of trouble shooting.
Enjoy your Rocket

Thanks to all of you rocketeers for your kind advice and patience with helping me out. Like one of you said (Ponters) I think, it's often the simple things that are hard to diagnose and get overlooked. So again, many thanks to all of you.

It's still starting strong on the first press, I guess that cleaning the contacts and making sure the screw was tight as Warp9.9 and others said, should be one of the first steps in identifying this type of problem.

I've had this problem since I bought the bike at the beginning of this year and without the help on this forum I'd still be stuck. So, only 'if' the problem comes back, I know there are other places to look.

Keep the faith, keep rocketing. Over and out, RockyIII (aka Ben).:)

P.S I'm NOT fed up now!

Honker is the man!!

I'm back. Back to tell you that my ignition/starting engine problem reared it's ugly head some weeks back now. So, I finally decided to install the second relay and fix the problem once and for all. I just new it was what I needed from the beginning but didn't convince myself it was the fix that I really needed.

Needless to say, i've just come back in after installing the 2nd relay and all I can say is, "MAGIC"!!! I have my bike back now, knowing that every time I press the magic button, the beast will come alive with menace!

I'm truly grateful to Honker for the passing over of such knowledge and I'll be forever in his debt. Thanks Honker you are a god!

As you can tell, I'm over the moon about this fix, and if anybody is having the same problem, I urge you to fit the 2nd relay.

The link with diagram that Honker posted is on the 1st or 2nd page of this thread.

Many thanks, rock on!

Ben (aka RockyIII):):):):):D
