Ignition switch repair?

I was told by the dealer that they have resolved the faulty solder issue but if that is a true statement I don't know.

I'm with IDK. If they fix it fine. If they don't use an alternative.

If you have to change it, go for relocation to the left hand side panel. I had a Harley switch put in there.

Mine failed at ~23,000 miles...... I bought the bike used and way out of warrantee but the dealer replaced the whole lockset for me..... it's a great dealer, but with a known problem like that they should take care of it for you......
