Just had the TPS replaced after the bike started running all funny. ( usual TPS stuff)
They put on the new R3 TPS ( upgraded part) & its running normally again fuelling properly etc.... HOWEVER, starting up from cold, the bike now revs at 2.5k for like 15 secs before settling down to 750revs ( where tuneboy is set at). I wouldn't think too much on this, EXCEPT, if I let it idle for a couploe of mins to warm up, & turn the ignition off & on again, it STILL does the high rev start up cycle :? :? ? If the engine is at full running temp, its not so pronounced, like hits mebbe 12-1400 revs before settling. This a feature of the new TPS?? or a fault?

yep bones,I also noticed the same thing when I put my new TPS on, theres some thread and a nut on the stepper motor you can adjust how much it will control the arm going to the throttle bodies so the start up revs dont race up.

bones have you tried the ISCV on the tune boy dash? it alows you to set tps and then when you hit the button you stepper motor should raise tps voltage to .7 or .72 this is what you would adjust the stepper motor to. after you push iscv there is instructions on the bottom walking you thru the idle stepper motor adjustment.

man this typing one handed sucks. I can't wait for surgery.

I have tried that on the older failing TPS.. all values seemed ok on the Tuneboy.. didn't affect its behaviour tho. Will try today & see.

Maybe a shim under the Pri TPS will help, Hombre talked about this as a fix. Maybe it's binding on the throttle shaft or the shaft is pressing on the TPS internals. Not sure of the thickness of the shim, check Hombres posts. I think he said that it was an uneven fit on the throttle bodies and when you tighten it it cocked over.

Thx Goth & Thx Warp :D
I tried the ISCV adjustment on the Tuneboy, ( previously assuming the dealer would have set the new TPS up properly!!!...naive i know  )
Following the prompts on the screen, & that fixed the problem
