I have a Storm '25 model and ordered BT Moto ECU read/write gadget

Since I had the tune for my Storm model for some time, and plus, where I live it is kinda summer, so I had time to get some use out of it with the newly flashed BT-Moto tune.

Here is a thought that recently I caught myself in. I started to be way more comfy with the bike low speed turns. I feel more comfy leaning the bike and giving it throttle at low speed u-turns. I think it is due to the tune.

More torque and better running engine (doesn't feel like will die easy) at low speeds gives me confidence to do more with the bike, as I feel like the bike won't cut out when it is at some weird front wheel angle or lean, and, thus, won't drop.

Prior the engine just didn't sound all that happy and there was more fear that it won't give the torque, will stall. I think the new fueling tables have given it more power to be much safer at low, near idle RPMs.

The bike should have been like this from the very beginning. So sad that one needs to spend $800 to bring it to what is I consider a safe operation at low speeds, not the castrated version I bought at the dealer.

I think I have said already, the bike before at low speeds sounded like an asthmatic child. Since I didn't change the air filter, just tune, it must be the fuel. It was not getting enough fuel. Not enough fuel, liable to stall due to some sudden torque request. Overall, as expensive the fix is, I am happy to have it, my confidence is up and so is the fun factor.
I had to do a U turn the other day and I noticed the same thing, it definitely has to do with the fuel because you can do a low speed U turn and not really have to fidgit with the gas to give it a bit more torque for the turn, you just let off the clutch a bit more or gove it slightly more gas.

I've noticed when running a gear to is low point like below 2000 rpm that it doesn't seem to mind it as much as it did before the fueling was changed, it doesn't lug as much at the low rpms now.

Even just taking off from a light is better now, last summer I stalled it a few times and zi highly doubt that will happen this year with the change the BT tune made.

The lower the revs and the throttle opening, the more the lean stock 14.5 afr becomes an issue.
I have that issue with my stock KTM 1290 R. I was going to try a Booster plug, but I don't think they make them for my '22. So I just keep the revs up in first at low speed.

Sounds loke they did a good job.

A decent map is not just about wot.
That is right. We want it right throught the rev range at all throttle positions. Penner have you been able to come up with tuning solutions for the 2024-2026 Triumphs ?

I am not involved in the development of the tools. And I think it is very unlikely that Alain will come up with Tune-ECU for the newer models. Since Triumph does it all online the game has changed. But BT-Moto still does the job. In the long run an aftermarket ECU will probably be the only way for tuning. That is what already happens in the Harley-sector.

Just to remind, I am enjoying cruising on a power cruiser, that is Rocket 3. I was thinking how my riding has changed since the BT-Moto flash. It is very likely there is top end torque added but I go on highways once in a blue moon, would be hard to judge for me. However, for the low end, I was thinking that I would explain it to another rider like this. Imagine the 1st gear was ECU locked from use. In your stock sense, you had to use 2nd gear when needed 1st. Thus, it feels like this flash makes available some a lower gear, so to speak. Just wanted to share a thought, as stupid as it might be.

To me it feels like it does when the engine is cold and idling slightly higher and you take off while its doing that except with the tune it feels like that even at the normal idle. You let the clutch out and it wants to go.

I put 150 miles on it today since we had our first 70° day today. Its just so much nicer all the way around, from doing slow menuvers to givin it all she gots. I live off a stretch of road that gives me about a 1/4 mile or so of room to let loose when no on it at night and man does this bike go. Lugging at too low of an rpm is even harder to do now.
What a great bike!! Had such a good time today after a long winter of short trips here n there freezing to death while I do them lol
