Since I had the tune for my Storm model for some time, and plus, where I live it is kinda summer, so I had time to get some use out of it with the newly flashed BT-Moto tune.
Here is a thought that recently I caught myself in. I started to be way more comfy with the bike low speed turns. I feel more comfy leaning the bike and giving it throttle at low speed u-turns. I think it is due to the tune.
More torque and better running engine (doesn't feel like will die easy) at low speeds gives me confidence to do more with the bike, as I feel like the bike won't cut out when it is at some weird front wheel angle or lean, and, thus, won't drop.
Prior the engine just didn't sound all that happy and there was more fear that it won't give the torque, will stall. I think the new fueling tables have given it more power to be much safer at low, near idle RPMs.
The bike should have been like this from the very beginning. So sad that one needs to spend $800 to bring it to what is I consider a safe operation at low speeds, not the castrated version I bought at the dealer.
I think I have said already, the bike before at low speeds sounded like an asthmatic child. Since I didn't change the air filter, just tune, it must be the fuel. It was not getting enough fuel. Not enough fuel, liable to stall due to some sudden torque request. Overall, as expensive the fix is, I am happy to have it, my confidence is up and so is the fun factor.
