I don't post much but......

You are probably a better judge of dates due to weather, etc. Since the other ride is planned for June I would say some time in April would be best so those that want to hit both rides would have a little butt recovery time. A name? Something local to the area...Granite Salvo maybe?

I think April is a bit optimistic. There will usually still be cold temps, high winds and, worst of all, sandy roads!!!!! That call will have to be made after we see what kind of Winter we get here in New England.

Late May thru late Sept would be my guess for a good time window. Jim would know best.
The biggest snow falls I've seen have been in April, although it does not stick around too long. Big issue, as mentioned, is to get the salt and sand off the roads. I usually wait for at least one really good rain. So, no guarantees but May, even mid May is a pretty safe guess. Spring is a nice riding time as well. Everything is leafing out, the days temps are comfortable and the nights are cool. It is also before, and ideally, the tourist hit the roads up here on Memorial Day and for the rest of the summer. Hey, sounds like good fun. Happy to answer any questions or help in any way.
Jim

Beutiful ride there Moko! I too love the naked look, but for long trips, it's nice to have a few essential farkles!

There is lots of great riding in New England!

Food for thought. The BEST riding weather, and amazing foliage colors is in the Fall. If this is a better time for anyone, and does not conflict with other events, it is also an option. Either way, I'll do whatever I can to help organize. It will be great fun for me to meet, see your machines, and rider with anyone who can make it.

Oh, trust me Bobs, I can jazz it up with the best of 'em. Just thought it looked mean when I stripped her down.

Here she is decked out for an upstate New York trip.

Hey, I'd be down for a little rendezvous in the White Mts/South Central Maine coastal vicinity next season... truly some of the most magnificent real estate this country has to offer.

BTW, moklodge, you should know that my Mulberry Mistress is getting more than a little put off by all this immodesty regarding our bikes' comparitive curb appeal. She is accustomed to being the belle of the ball, no matter the company she's in.Link Removed

Now, straighten up and fly right!;)

Phil,

That's a pretty ride too. The solid red looks better then the two tone Classic to me. You just need the belly pan to complete the look. I'm definitely jealous of the low sissybar lookswise. Love it. But I went with the tall one since it works better for luggage. I use the sissy bar bag on most of my trips and only install the saddle bags when I need the extra storage.

Jersey has some great riding too. I've been out to the Poconos, Delaware Water Gap and Northern New Jersey and it's pretty **** nice.
