Hubless Motorcycle

Didn't Billy Lane do that on a bike a while back? I think he only had it on the back wheel. That is a good lookin bike for sure.
 
I seem to remember that there's a patent on hubless mororcycle wheels, held by Franco Sbarro of Switzerland. His wheels and a running prototype were featured in the motorcycle press in the 90's. Jamie
 
They say the bearing life of one hundred thousand kilometers. Hmmm I guess all those needle rollers are a hard thing to keep aligned. :confused:
 
The wear on the rear tire has to be quite excellerated. Wonder if it can smoke the tire.
Now take it to a bike week and try and smoke it off the rim. That would be expensive :cool:
