just a lil over 1000km now and the bike is just so much fun to ride, steering is crisp, handling is sweet and the accelerations are just fun (can't wait to have it mapped) to see its full potential!

You will have to access and control the ECU to see a full potential. We have heard it never really see full open throttle position.

A good friend of mine is a specialist with that, does cars and always amazes everybody with the torque he gets out of it, my 300C went from stock 211hp and 510Nm (376ft lb) to 265hp and a whopping 760Nm (560ft lb) of torque!! Just have to see if he can get in!!

The old Rockets had secondary throttle plates to restrict power. The new ride by wire throttle restricts power electronically. The tune regulates the throttle plate opening as a function of the grip throttle position. For example, you could have the grip twisted 100% but the throttle plate would be open 90%. One can now change this on the WC twins using TuneECU. However, significant power gains will probably require hardware mods.

oh I agree to that but I’m pretty sure the throttle response, power and torque can be improved, I might even have him look into getting the gains into the digital ride setup, rain will remain, road could be more economical and sport could unleash the beast!

Rider configurable should be set to all nannies off and full throttle. ABS might be left on.

I've got 2700 miles on it since late March, most on a trek down to West Virginia to thrash around the woodsy roads with the RAA crowd. Compared to my original 2004 RIII this bike is lighter and definitely more nimble. I call it a 'point and click" bike. Just look at a turn at high speed and swoosh you're through it clean and sweet!
The long trek on the interstate got to my back so this winter I'll fork over the big bucks and get a custom Baldwin seat made with an insertable back rest. My only complaint is the lousy non waterproof panniers (oh did I mention they are also tiny and use a zipper closure system that has gotten stuck in the middle). No I guess I didn't mention them there crappy panniers.. but that aside it loves the twisties, you can really hammer this guy. I did ride with a couple fellas with the TFC's. They are beautiful looking but truth be told no matter how much they hammered the throttle I was with them all the time turn for turn on my GT. I then got to ride one (Yogi's) and while maybe it feels a little more powerful it's hard to say. If you'e got the extra $8000,I'd spend it just for the cool looks of the TFC but performance wise I'm not so sure.

Yes I was leading the route that day. I took off to see if you and Yogi could ride them things.:cautious: I’ll be dearned every time I looked back you were both there. I thought those guys can ride fer sure. Then I saw one other bike and SOB it was my wife. I knew she could ride.😉

All the new models are very capable and so are some riders.

I like the OEM bags. Appearance, hardware, no stuck zippers(yet!) And no rain problem in AZ. Good luck.
