After spending about 10 weeks in Vietnam and driving cars and bikes I would just like to say they are probably the most poorly trained riders/drivers in the world.
However those intersections are easy enough, you just take it slow and you wont have too many problems.
Night time on the back roads or out in the provinces is where it gets interesting.
If Vietnamese only want to go a short distance they will ride on the wrong side of the road and if their headlight doesnt work ,no problem ,your's works and you should be able to see them.
The really scary times are on their highways where the speed limit is 80kph but everyone is doing 120kph
If a car in front is going 5klms too slow they will sit within inches of the rear bumper.
If they want to change lanes and you are alongside them ,they will change lanes and either force you to slow down or force you off the road.
Maintenance on vehicles is also lacking,Ive seen full size prime movers lose wheels when the bearing seizes up or a diff blow up from lack of oil.
