That would be a 2012.. Manufactured Mar 12.. If that's what you are talking about..

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the earliest Triumph started a new model year was when the Rocket came out in June 2004.. and calling it an '05. Mine is a July '04 model, but is listed as an '05.. and there are actual differences between the '04s and later '05 models..

Personally I think it's rediculous calling something made in June of '04 a 2005 model, but I don't make the rules.. However, 3/12.. would definitely be a 2012 model. It is one nice looking R3T though..

The date on the steering head has little to do with the model year. They are making 2014 cars now (when it's barely 2013). It has to do with the model upgrades for the year. For example: if the 2013 model has 6 skizzlin pins instead of 4 like the 2012 model, and you count 6 on your bike manufactured in March 2012, you have a 2013 model. When you buy a new bike you get the Certificate of Origin (what you use to get it titled). That document denotes the date of manufacture, model and model year your title is based on. What does your title say?

year model

All the bikes I have had the year on the frame will be one year behind the year model i.e. 2005 on frame, year model on title 2006

tqbrown I'm with you bought it May 29 2012 and mine is registered as a 2013 deal told me it was a 2013 but that seems early in the year for it
