Anybody fit highway pegs without the engine guard ?

Got some pic's

Thx

Thx ej

I see yours are on the engine guard,

I want to fit them lower in front of the levers and just a bit above, no dresser bars.

I suspect I'm gonna have to make a couple of custom brackets for the pegs.

Have ya seen THESE?? I'm thinking these will work on the front bar mounts. Might have to rework the mounting holes a bit, but should work. I'm planning to order a set.

Yogi, I agree that Kuryakyn highway mount for the 1300 VTX looks like the closest thing to what may work on our Rockets. Let us know what you had to do to get it to fit. I'll do the same if I get a set first. That mount's directions on-line show the four bolts included are 10mm x 1.25 x 100mm long with matching chrome spacers. Our front bar mount bolts appear to be about 7mm. I'm going to the hardware store tomorrow with one to check diam. and thread pattern for sure. The spacing on the two mount holes probably won't match-up with ours either. Still, it might be adaptable. We won't know till we buy one and try. Right? It is a nice-looking unit. Rocketbikr out

I had them on the bar on the old Gray Ghost (RIP). I really liked them a ton, and would like to put them on the Classic. With the boards, I don't think that they will work very well. EJ, if you figure a way to do it that might solve this problem, I'd sure appreciate a note.
Thanks,

do you have a follow up on the part and how it attached? have been thinking of some type of forward peg that doesn't cost $300, but the way the bars are formed it looks like they would have to be adjustable.

I hope someone has solved this one since I am not doing so well. Don't like crash bars, just want some highway pegs preferably attached to the existing control mount bars. As it is now, I take my foot off the peg, and rest the back of my calf on them. Kinda leaves my feet dangling in the breeze, but feels good on long interstate runs.

Not really RockettCrockett,
no highway pegs for a stock R3 yet.
