I have once again been plagued with high idle on the beast. My dealer sorted it 2 yrs ago but lately it has been an intermittent problem again. I decided to check the crank angle sensor & sure enough it was covered in crud but among it I found this piece of broken washer (see photo).
Any comments guys, bike is running great apart from the aforesaid idle.
After looking through the manual I think this broken washer can only be from one of the mounting bolts from the cable clamp for the alternator wiring. does anyone have different ideas or can anyone dispute this, any ideas welcome. I am waiting on delivery of an endoscope so I can have a look inside, don't know if it will prove anything but worth a try.

Thanks for the pics Warp,I can't see there being anything different on mine then, its a 2009 classic. The washer would appear to be from a 5mm or 6mm bolt though, but I cant see where else it might have come from. As Canberra say's it's like finding 1/2 a grub, you worry about the other half. My dealer has forwarded it on to Triumph but so far we've had no response. After all this it hasn't cured my idle speed problem which is now worsening although intermittent.
