I went ahead and purchased a HID kit for the R3T just got it in today and plan on hooking it up in the morning I will give more info on the install after its done but I will make a short write up tonight. I purchased from a company called v-led the packaging looks great everything that is to be exposed is said to be waterproof so only a few wires that I will pass through the bucket to make the connection. This is the type that moves the bulb for high and low actions. The only other connection I will have to make is a positive and negative for the relay that is already attached and sealed. all in all it looks like it will work with all the other electronic connection I have I want to save a little power and see a little better I have been using a 100w bulb to this day I am hoping this will last longer and I can see a little better.

Lot of owners are going to HID on the KLR ADV bike I have and I've been considering it. Explain what you mean by 'move the bulb'. I was under the understanding that HID was either high beam or low beam but not both?

I considered doing my Classic but it has t double filament lights.

according to what I can gather on it is that is has a small electro magnet that moves the bulb I am assuming that it will either move the bulb back and forth to adjust the amount of light or the metal casing that surrounds the bulb to create the effect of a high and low beam. there are others that have 2 bulbs one halogen for high and a xenon for low I opted with the full bi-xenon the level of light will remain the same just move back and forth I am not exactly sure what will move all I know at the moment is that something will.

well it got it in and working this morning with out any issues and with a trial run tonight its working great and the cool blue look of the light is a plus in my book

of all places on ebay people started to talk about it so I went ahead and tried it. I don't know how long its going to last but it was worth a try

well I paid 100$ so it was not that bad it will light up the road with out an issue better its a lighter or clearer light not the yellow but a crystal blue light I like it , it looks different thats for sure

This isn't meant to hijack the thread but at my age, so long as anything lasts at least a little time, I'm pretty happy.

I have a feeling that I'm gonna get something similar for my Classic. I'll have to get 2 of them. I have 2 lights.
