Hick up in full power

Hope somebody can help me with the following problem. If I accelerate with full open throttle the machine hicks up for a very short moment. It occured in one run at 2500RPM and again at some 5000RPM. As if the ECM stops for a split second and then it continues again. I had the bike on a dyno last friday and the problem did not occurred! 252Nm and 146HP was measured (catbox removed and TOR pipes).

Back on the road again and I got still the same problem. Has anyone an idea what the cause could be?

I had a similar issue, but only in one place (about 4000 revs I think). It happened repeatedly and I was thinking it was a coil breaking down momentarily under load.

Hombre had had a similar problem and steered me in the right direction. I replaced the spark plugs and all was well.

I have replaced all the spark plugs already. First thing I did.

The engine stops on all three cilinders so I do not expect a problem with the coils.

I am thinking about the fall switch, but I don't understand exactly what it switches off and whether it is temporarely. Does somebody know if the ECU logs fall switch transitions?

sounds lean. have your afr's checked... could be from your mods.

I have tried several mappings. Doesn't make any difference. However he is a bit lean up to 2500 and rich from 3000 until 4000 and then it's ok. Could not correct it nicely with tuneboy while we were running out of time.

It's the gearbox! Problem occures only in second gear as I became aware after some time (in first full power is not really possible while causing a wheely and in third gear I'm afraid for my driving license). The same problem happens with some earlier BMW models and my dealer recognised it immediatly when he drove the bike himself. Some mods are being implemented by Triumph since the start of the production so these will be mounted too including new sprockets and the like.

Does anyone else heard of this problem?

Ahh the old tranny upgrade fault ! Oh yeah we know that one :lol: lots of stuff posted. Big Big warrenty issue

When they split the gearbox look at dogs and cogs. I'll bet one of your dogs has been slipping out of one of your cogs. :shock: ;-)
