Triumph Rocket III Roadster.
Hi

Late to biking, to busy with work, mortgages, divorce, kids, stuff like that, have done some biking, scramblers round fields and woods, stuff like that.
Currently have a Kawasaki 1400GTR TRIKE, done 1000s of miles on it with the mrs, France, Spain, Andorra, all great fun, but now seriously considering doing my bike test and getting a Rocket.

Ride with a local club, lots of Harleys, and need to stay quicker than them, which the trike is, until we get to some filtering........, so the Rocket seams the way to go.

Here to do my homework first, Tourer or Roadster?
Tourer - plenty of storage, good for trips, looks the part
Roadster - more power :) , but from what I have read so far this is achievable with the Tourer.

Welcome from Northern Nevada. Having come from the Harley side I can honestly say you will kick there ass regardless of which you go with. I have a touring model which suits me but I really like the roadster too. An ideal bike for me would be the Roadster with the touring package. I really like the roadster's 240 rear tire, duel head lights and tank design. I like the touring windshield, floorboards and obviously storage. To make the roadster into a touring bike will take some time and money. Someone on here (sorry I forgot who) put Triumph touring bags on his roadster. It was not a dirrect bolt on and he made it look like it came from the factory. If you have the choice sit on each and see which speaks to you.

Richard, welcome from Florida. As Big Norm said both are great bikes try getting a test ride on both and beware of the power!Oh yeah take the Mrs. with you.

Hello Richard. I, not that long ago got a Rocket to replace my Harley (07 Super Glide with some mods) and I must admit I was a bit apprehensive to begin with. After the second ride I found myself wondering why I didn't do this earlier. I love the Rocket and slowly but surely its becoming mine....If you know what I mean?
Welcome aboard.

Hi from North Wales, I have 2 2006 Rocket 3 classics. Love these bikes, had from Hayabusa, GSX 100, TL etc etc. The grin factor with these bikes is priceless, comments like - your engine is bigger than my car engine, never get bored of that. All the best ...

WELCOME to ya from the Colonies!
I have had my Roadster across the USA (Seattle - WA DC) and to Arkansas twice!
Tis a great traveler to my thinking . . . and very good handler for a huge bike.

Forgot to mention also that roadster has a different riding position to tourer , with pegs further back for that 70's bike feeling and better rider weight distribution for scratching !
