Was working fine at the weekend.

Get the usual sweep of the instruments. Press the starter and just get a "clunk" from the starter, but nothing turns over. At the same time the fuel light comes on.

Tried giving the battery a charge, but nothing happening.

Any ideas?

Could be several things, I get this because I store my bike outside and corrosion develops behind the starter switch.

Actually, this morning, I have to whack it pretty good because it had frozen in place.

Could be faulty ignition switch, could be loose wires, could be you blew a fuse, could be bad battery.

I got this last year.... check the wires on the battery. Mine were loose so they wouldn't make a good enough connection to start the bike. The lights came on and everything, just no starter.

I should have bloody known this. Had exactly the same problem on my T595 several times.

Yep, it was the battery terminal corroded. Quick clean with sandpaper, and a dolop of grease and all's well again.
