Out today and was unimpressed with the heat output. Got home and found the 10 amp fuse that was in my battery tender harness I was using was blown. Hopefully the gear will be a little warmer tomorrow. ha ha. Also ordered new socks and pants. I think they both are about 25 years old.

Some of us here are obviously not just fair weather riders. I have the First Gear jacket and Gerber gloves- they do an amazing job. My controller got a short where the wires come into the unit from bending back and forth. Did an amateur repair and the output is now 100%.

When I got my '05 GS the first winter with it I found out about heated gear. I made it a point to try to ride all winter. Like a challenge. Road conditions permitting of course. Funny when you pass another bike in January and its 25 degrees it seems to call for more than just a wave. I'd throw a thumbs up. Must be how it was back when bikes weren't common, and the wave thing first started. ... like minded enthusiasts.
