Leaving out at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow for the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground.
Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground
Will stay there till sunday morning then head south to Deals Gap to let Lisa ride the dragon. I've done it several times, but this will be Lisa's first time there. We will be taking it easy. Riding back home Monday.
I'll try to post some pics when I get back.

Sounds like a blast! We got close to there once the year before last. For our anniversary, we stayed at a B&B close to Gatlinburg, TN. Unfortunatley, we didn't ride the bikes, but we did go on a hot air ballon ride, which was pretty fun. We both wished we could have planned it to ride the bikes though!

Nice looking place wilber-t, not far from where I did some time in Translvania Co NC growing up. Beautiful country up in those parts and in not too long will be able to do it again, Lord willing and the Cree don't rise but they got Cherokee in those hill doing Unto These Hills last I heard.

Yep . . still doing the play. I was there last week. Its very interesting and if you get a chance you should stop in Cherokee and see it.

Well, here I am back at work today......*&%#$@!!!! ....Oh well....
We had a real good trip. Did 820 miles, rode the Dragon twice and spent the night there sunday. Also rode 276, 151, 28, 129, the Wayah road, etc. All great roads without the crowds, cops and 30 mph speed limit of the Dragon. Got rained on friday and saturday, but no big deal. I'm having issues with putfile, so I'll get some pics up when I can.

I rode the Dragoon and the Skyway last year en route to Nashville. It's nice (dragoon) but I like the Skyway a little better. The sweepers are better Rocket wise than the tight decreasing radius curves of the Dragoon, least in my opinion. Besides, I've had a few biker acquaintances wind up in Knoxville in the hospital from being a bit over zealous on the Dragoon.

I guess I'm not a good commercial tourist. I found Gatlinburg and Severeville to be, well, sort of like cheap plastic and naugahyde....less than desirable but I'm not a fan of Dollywood and all the crap anyway. Nothing better than gridlock at 10 in the morning.....long lines of RV's and irate kids in their parents SUV's.

I do like Maggie Valley. Some spillover from the former two but still has charm and a small town appeal. Maybe that's why it's a popular destination. I'd like to have a cabin in that area, however, the Austin Texas area beckons much stronger.

Flip, you would love the Wayah Road. Not well known or well marked on maps. Runs through the Nantahala Gorge. One of those roads to just take it easy and enjoy the scenery.

Okay, still can't get Putfile to work on my computer, so I'm trying Photobucket.

This is the stream at the campground, makes a good cooler.

It rained on us some friday and a lot saturday. Wout and Amy rode up in their truck sat. afternoon. This was a Motormaid Campout, Lisa and Amy are Motormaids.
