I have once seen mid 50s - but the sun is then searing hot. And our house being stone acts like a night storage heater.
 
Yeah the vendor web site says "works best in hot dry climate" -- same as swamp coolers. Not nice to fool mother nature.
 
If you wear cooling products in the Southern part of Texas you don't have to soak them first. Just stand outside in the shade it'll be soaked in 3-5 minutes. The only thing I've found to work reliably is Speed Another reason we need lanesharing in Tx
