The easiest, laziest, fastest shine comes with Speed Shine from Griots Garage. No harmful side effects. Have not tried a repaint so it may contain silicone.

Let me add.....If you suspect that you didn't do a first rate job with your de-waxing solvent, better add a few drops of 10FEE Fish eye eliminator. When I fiddle with pinstripes I always add a little 10FEE and some Penetrol. Better be safe than bubbly.

Ah Ha......I've found a source that has tools priced ABOVE Snap-On. This guys tools are higher priced than the Snap-On truck and they ain't Snap-On, they are some brand I never heard of (and don't want either).

I didn't price their wax. It oughttabe cheap. This guy is making a killing on tools, that is, if he sells any......groits sounds like an operable lesion. 'I got a large groit on my neck....I'm having it removed along with my credit card'.

Not that I disagree or want to go all out about how to paint something, but just to add to this most fish eye removers actually contain some type of silicone additives in them. Many dont realize this, but once they have been used, fluid lines are then potentially contaminated themselves and you will find yourself using the fish eye remover more and more. Like I said, there are many ways to skin a cat, but using these heavy silicone modified "waxes" can really make things difficult for any future work. Years ago when NuFinish and others were being praised, if anyone recalls just a few years later the automotive repaint industry found themselves in a pinch trying to find a way to remove the imbedded silicones fully to repaint anything without a hassle. End of rant....I can go on and on...it's a bad habit from a boring paint rep.

I never knew 10FEE had silicone in it. I'm never too old to learn something, getting there but not quite yet. About the only thing I paint anymore is farm implements that ground engagement has worn the finish off and I don't want them too rust so I'm a rattle can, paint brush guy. TSC is my supplier. They have tractor colors in quarts and gallons and of course rattle cans which, when empty I collect to throw in the burn pile to scare my wife......BOOM

Many years ago I was the paint room foreman for a large electronics cabinet manufacturer. 50% of the sprayed finishes were SW catalyzed urethanes, 5% was military spec interior fire suppressant coatings and the balance was electro dep with a mid temp bake.

Yep guys I've sprayed a gallon or two of urethane in my time. I specialize in metal finishes with OEM's both liquid and powder. It's a fun and interesting job, but watching paint dry can age ya fast.

I always say the going to an antique tractor pull is like watching paint dry on a barn or playing checkers with a corpse.

Kinda funny you say that, one of my good friends who is a tech rep for our company is BIG into antique tractors, both shows and collecting them.
