Hating My Rocket...you can have it!

I have 30,000 miles on my 2010 Touring, no throttle grip issues so yes something odd is going on to have 4 go.

30K on my 08 R3T, only broken grip was the heated grip. Fine since getting rid of that piece of crap.

My only issue was the heated grip as well. I did notice the reason I think it broke was not due to over pulling on it, but just the opposite. When shutting the power down, the push on the throttle causes the boss inside to over travel and bind inside.

I would think putting a turbo on a GW would be comparable to putting a full fairing on a R3t.

Yes, the plastic grips and pretty much everything else mounted to the handlebars is cheap garbage. Mine has so far held together, but - there's an easy enough fix, just get a set of Kuryakyn Iso-grips to replace the Triumph-labeled grips, and a set of good mirrors to boot to replace the stock round useless crap. As for stripping out four handles... I have to wonder if there isn't something going on. Could the throttle cables be so poorly adjusted they hit maximum throttle while you're still twisting the grip and then rip the cable out with the last twist? Mine has held up for two seasons so far, and they're the infamous heated ones (getting replaced as part of the winter projects though.)
