Has anyone drilled the rear of the stock mufflers?

I've got factory mufflers for sale if someone is worried about screwing up their own-or want to get more radical with it...

look in my album theres a pic of a std muffler , been cut up to show whots inside
its a muffler inside a muffler
fiberglass packing missing in pic between center perf tube and next one
end of iner muffler has slotted plate attaching it so gasses circulate arround it
need to keep drill about 3/8 inch from outside edge if muffler use 3/8 drill
shouldnt need to go all the way to 3rd (slotted) plate

Hi Steve. It's just another Forum really with about 100 members to date many post on this site also. We're trying to get an Owners Club off the ground with regional meets (in pubs mainly, funny that) so that members can get together and have a pint and a chat, compare exhausts etc. and generally get to know each other face to face. It seems to be taking off OK.
We have our first weekend national get together next weekend at Long Newton in the North East of England, should be a laugh.
Anyway you should be able to sign up no problem. Try again as I think there were a few glitches eary on. Any trouble give me a shout.
Not sure you'll have seen the PP pipe in Oz as there have only been a few fitted so far in the UK. It replaces the cat.

I was wondering about them,I seen it last night on Ebay,

back to muflers :-
I ground four welds off , prised rear plate off.
I driled the core out using a 1.25 in hole saw welded to a long tube
simular to what has been posted elcewere.
then Ive welded a 1.25in tube back in.
the tube ,12in long , I caped to stop the straght thru gasses then drilled 8holes 1/2in in the top 2in .
drilled rear plate and welded back in .
this has kept the bike resonably quiet but still flows more freely
bit more power too I think
