Happens to the best of us.

I'm thinkin he must have seen the bump too late, and was nailing the front brake. Would take a lot to flip that load like that.

So that's what happened to Molinoman's Harley.

I've seen that clip before and can't for the life of me understand how it could have happened. A presumably trained police officer on a presumably well maintained bike in obviously perfect riding conditions. A level of incompetence that beggars belief.

Noticed all his copper mates came scurrying in from the kerb.. hahahaha footpath ... anyway perhaps showing off could be the culprit in this case.

Experienced a similar thing many years ago on a K2 Honda as a cop. But on a right hand bend at 140kph on my way to escort a funeral at Queanbeyan. Hit a dip and the rear came up off the road. Sphincter tightening stuff but entirely my fault. Luckily I rode it out. May have had something to do with the fairly basic suspension of the day, and as TC suggested, showing off.
