I have been going throught the search on here all morning as I don't want to piss off the people who have been kind enough to offer advise to others in the past, however, I am unable to see any details on the road shoks that Hagon sell for circa £130.

I am struggling to afford £300 + for the Nitros and was wondering if these were woth a go?

I weigh in at 20st and mostly ride on my own, I rarely adjust shocks so was thinking that these would be an adequate move from stock.

Your views and comments are welcome.

Not heard of anyone fitting the preload only shocks, Nick, only the more expensive Nitros, which is maybe why you didn't find anything in your search?

If in doubt, the people at Hagons are amenable to a phone call.

got the hagon road shocks for my gl1000 cafewing project. they are ok for that bike but not so sure on the much bigger rocket. the hagon road shocks come in 4 types - so-called stanard diameter springs and narrow diameter springs, and either in chrome or black.

also I can't remember if my mate simon has still got his nitros for sale after moving to a ktm 990 ride. he might do, or he might have sold them to rocketuk pete w. I will ask.

Thank you for the replies and the picture of a dirty bike .

LMG, that would be good, if they are still for sale then please let me know.

It gets dirty when you ride it.

20st lay off the pies and save up for Nitros

If only someone had told me that 30 years ago Diets are twice the price of normal shopping hence the budget.

If I can't get some second hand ones then I'll try turning the stock ones up a couple of notches.

just got a response back - they are sold to another member on this site - sorry. keep an eye out for some more 2nd hand ones, but id also give hagon a call - they will tell you if the cheaper ones will do the job. To be fair the stock shocks arent THAT bad - turned up to the right settings and they are ok.
