..just a heads up on delivery times here in NZ.
Spoke to the dealers this morning and the ship with the bikes has been delayed. The Bikes will be here in Christchurch early January now. There are Roadsters coming first, two have been sold...then the GT's will be next.
One of the roadsters is a demo model and the sales manager wants me to run it in for him...i will have to think about that!...ok. ive thought about it...ok...i'll do it!...looking forward to that!
Man how I would love to go through the whole process. Picking a new rocket, ordering it, being there when it comes in, un-crating it and finally assembling the beast. Also going for the inaugural ride...... Priceless!!!!
When I worked in a GM dealership between 1972 and 1980, I did many PDI inspections and test drives on new cars. There was always a friendly wrestling match on who was going to do the work/drive the new hot vehicles like the Corvette, Camaro, W30 442 Cutlass, Chevelle and Nova SS.
I worked at a Chevy dealer while in high school during the 70s. Once a week I got move the Corvette and the Cosworth Vega. That was pretty exciting for a 17 year old. Loved that Cosworth Vega.
Worked at Hamtramck assembly plant in Michigan back in the 70's, drive hemi chargers from end of line to loading area, I would have done it for nothing.
