Going to do some Rocket Drag Racing at FireBird

Bill i just saw this thread today, great job getting on the track, when i take my Road Trip i normally cut through your neck of the woods heading southeas, wouldn’t it be cool to go do some grudge racing, maybe if brown dont have you trucking we get to do something like this, you looked good out there bud.

My one and only visit to a drag strip was with a 100% stock 2005. Still had the cat box on it. my best time out of four runs was 11.7 so I'm sure , once you get off the line properly you will consistently beat him. My first couple of runs were a disaster as I hit the rev limiter in 1st then I crossed the line banging on the rev limiter in third. On my best run I took off from about 3,000 rpm then concentrated on the tach only and that worked.

In the video it was my 3rd run. The numbers are 1/8 mile 8.292 at 83.54 mph actual and 1/4 mile was 12.634 at 111.59 mph actual.
Corrected for density altitude 1/4 mile numbers go to 11.913 at 118.369 mph.

My 2nd run, which was my best that day, was 1/8 mile at 8.192 at 90.03 mph actual and 1/4 mile was 12.512 at 111.95 mph actual.
Corrected for density altitude 1/4 mile numbers go to 11.825 at 118.48 mph.

I found a couple time slips, widowmaker in its 1200lb form with its 280lb rookie rider. Making about 155squared at the time
