The last time I'm going to say this ... the power is not reduced with the secondaries, it is done with retarding the timing in 1st through 3rd gears. If you can change the timing another way, fine and dandy. GiPro w/ATRE means "Advanced Timing Retard Eliminator". Removing the secondaries will lean the mixture and increase throttle response but will not restore the 7% factory power reduction.
The button on the unit allows you to put it back to factory setting, retard timing in only 1st gear, increased power in all gears and an aggressive setting for all gears. The benefit to that button is if you get caught in the rain somewhere or have bad road conditions, you can pull over and set it to lower power to control wheel slip better.
Maybe $150 is more than someone wants to spend and that's fine, but you can't get an easier/cheaper way to bump up the fun along with an easy to read gear position indicator anywhere else. It's easy to install, easy to read and more fun than a barrel of monkeys. A PCIII or changing the secondaries with TuneECU and dyno tuning will increase overall power, but the timing will still be retarded in low gears unless something is done about either tricking the bike or changing the ignition timing tables.
