So I have been fighting my gear indicator on my 07 standard since new. Had it back to the shop several times and they fiddle fuc*ed around with it so it would work for a day or two, but would not replace it. For whatever reason my Gi-Pro indicated the gears correctly, even nuetral, but most of the time my neutral light would not engage, hence with kickstand dowm motor died. Pissed me off.

So I got on e-bay and found a new one from a guy who had bought out a dealer liquidation. $40 wiht shipping . Part number T1190814. New in bag. E-bay acution # 150561187776 if you care to see if he has any more.

I put another electrical connector on the new one so I would not have to take the bike half apart to get to the factory connector, stuck it in, and it works great.

So I have to see how things work and removed the rubber fill from the back of the old one. I figuired it was just connections that may have come loose, but probably/maybe a bad diode or whatever those tiny littl electrical gismos are that you see.

Have a great day.

as long as the contacts are clean and/or the soldered joints are good.
Most electrical or even suspected electronic failures are actually due to ****ty electromechanical contacts. In fact my golden rule is "whenever there is a doubt - check connections and look for earth faults".
