Fuel filter fuel line

Hi all, I am replacing my fuel filter today and will be replacing the sections of in tank fuel associated with it. My question is, can I use standard fuel injection fuel line our sites it have to be a fuel rated for constant submersion? I would have never thought about this if I hadn't read somewhere about this. What do you guys do? I'm Thinking fuel line off the road at the auto parts store would be the right stuff.

Chase can't remember what it 's called ,but tell the counter guy you want the pricey stuff it doesn't breakdown being submerged.
 
Thanks for the reply Fingers, I'll go down to Napa to to find it. I assumed that fuel hose would be resistant on the outside as it is on the inside.

Thanks for the replies everyone got the filter and hook it all back up and I picked up the submersible fuel line from Napa today $30 a foot. The problem now is not but I had some Crush washers which I got from them but as soon as I powered up the system it leaked so I tried the old ones back on and they like to neither one of the two dealerships around me have these in stock going to try some brass ones for brake lines to pick those up at another place tomorrow. Two Crush washers from Napa, looks like aluminum and felt light so when I torqued them down there was no impression from crushing so I think they were too hard. I am torquing the fuel line bolt to 15 newton meters. Can anybody think of any reason why a brass Crush Washer wouldn't hold up against the ethanol fuel that we have here in the states?

Getting ready to do mine, I ordered all the parts and a few extra crush washers. I could post one to you if you like.
 
Thanks jag, I'm going to try to find some this morning so I can ride this afternoon. Today is the last day I have to work on it till next weekend so if I can't find any today I'll order them from dealership and they will be here for next weekend. Seems silly to me that both dealerships stock filter and tank gasket but no crush washers to go with that operation..
