Hey guys, finally got in to Atlanta at 6:05 am yesterday. Unfortunately for me it appeared that my Delta flight cancelled to Pensacola (for 8:30 am) and I was in a pickle...something about snow possible around 11 am and the plane didn't want to be stuck on the ground...was not too happy about that especially since they were going to be gone by 8:30 or so. Anyway after being told that other flights to Panama City and Ft. Walton Beach were already full and that one to Mobile was cancelled as well I had to cancel that part of the flight then (to keep the return portion good) and decided I wasn't waiting till Monday to get home...if they could get me on a flight.

Rented a Nissan SUV for $254 one way to Pensacola (was I robbed??? I think they took advantage of the situation since a lot of flights cancelled). Anyway off to I-85 South I went. about 5 miles out there was a light "sideways" blowing rain which after I got into Alabama, around Auburn, turned into light snow flurries (hey HeR3tic I bet you were having fun). This continued all the way to around the 120 mile marker south on I-65 (after heading south on I-65 at Montgomery). Lots of snow on the ground but the road remained pretty clear, couldn't drive too fast as I did want to get home in one piece (that changed about 50 miles south of Montgomery..where I upped the speed a "little". Got home in about 4 and a half hours at about 1l:40 am.

Went out to check my Rocket, had power to the ignition, needles cycled through but nothing when I attempted to start. I am charging up my Wagan power supply in my Mustang (didn't come with a 9 volt adapter...optional...wish they'd mention something like that in the advertisement...I would have bought it) so I will try again this morning.

It sure is a "cold" welcome back to the US, little did I know that after a 15 hour flight from hell on the Delta flight (their TV/Video system went out so no movies, shows, music, thank god I had my IPod, or "moving" map showing where the plane was flying over) I would be driving for almost 5 hours with only about 2 and a half hours sleep.

But I made it, I'm home and hopefully the Rocket might start later on...the seat still won't come off so that is a problem, hopefully the Wagan will juice it up enough to get it to run so that tomorrow I'll have it at the dealership so they can get that seat fixed.

What a way to start off March.
