Ya, when I fit mine (I got the relay kit from Eastern Beaver) I had to install the relays themselves behind the horn cover and zip tie them into place, since the wiring did not allow enough length to hide the relays under the tank.

But it's still a GOOD modification

..for anybody thinking about (and all should) ordering this kit from Eastern Beaver, if ya send him an e-mail and tell him to make the headlight plug to relay wires longer....he will...then they will go under the gas tank where they should be..he makes these kits up upon order..

Yea, I saw the earlier recommendations about that; after I had bought and installed the Relay kit from him. If I get a wild hair one day; I'll go ahead and just splice some extra length myself and hide the Relays under the tank wehre they should normally be...

With the Eastern Beaver kit, if you slice the mounting tabs off the relays and coil the wires appropriately, everything will fit comfortably inside the RHS headlamp bucket.

Regards,
Mark

Unfortunately that won't work for me. I have a Kisan headlight modulator unit plugged into the back of each headlamp. Absolutely no space for a relay in each headlamp housing. :(

That's what I did, just added 3 inches to the right side light lead and that was enough. But I wish I would have sent measurements for the leads when I ordered the kit. Live and learn. Man what an improvement.
