Have a safe trip. Post lots of photos, and cherish those memories you get to make with your son! As TC said, "priceless!"
When/if you do make the seat change, my Corbin is night/day from the stock!

I got the "Young Guns". Great for one, awful for two. I'm still in the break in period with only 500 or so miles on it (they are very, very hard to start with and say the seats need ~2000m for break-in), but it's already much better than stock. I switched back to stock to go on a two-up ride and my a$$ numb at 60 miles. You southern fellas that ride all year long probably don't realize how out of riding shape one's rear gets after 5 months without riding.

If I ever go 2-up on a long road trip and I'll get the corbin Duel Tour beforehand.

I wish I was going too! What is that tank bag you have? I would like to get something about that size to hold my wallet and phone etc. Any ideas on what seat you are thinking of getting? Have a great trip and take lots of photos of your bike in front of huge snow covered mountains for the Australian guys to look at.

Thanks Jeff....
It was nice to get past valemount, not a straight road in sight. The tank bag is the Oxford X4, works very well. Doesn't scratch the paint as it sticks over the white stripes. Works we'll.
When I put the bike away for the winter I'm going to get the Russell Day Long seat done up for the rocket. Currently I installed a gel and memory foam seat pad in the stock seat. I find the seat comfortable in this fashion, but what I'm finding is that there is no support for any length of time over 6 hours. Irregardless, we stop about every hour for a break. I got some good video from Kamloops to Vernon yesterday and today is a nice windy road around Okanagan lake, 27 degrees and the sun is shining......yup life is good!

Well, one week later and about 3200km my son and I will be home tomorow. Man what an adventure. The Rocket was a dream to ride, no issues and no complaints. Made alot of new friends along the way.

Time to start planning a road trip for July.....more mountains I'm thinking....
